Painting Weekend Special Offer

While the studio is open on Fridays for painting, participants who wish to come of a full weekend can avail of our special rate. On our weekend courses participants meet with the tutor on Friday evening to discuss individual work and plans for the course over the weekend. A local B/B or Hostel can be pre-booked if necessary and a packed lunch can also be provided. 

Saturday

At 9 am, the participants will set out with the tutor to go on location for a day of painting. If the weather is not suitable for outdoor work, work can be adapted to the studio, which has good light for painting, and where easels will be provided. Participants should bring their own sketchpads, canvases, brushes and medium of choice, oil paint, acrylic paint, ink, watercolour, etc. Please bring flasks for tea or coffee. 

So that the participants have the opportunity to come together and relax in the evening, dinner at a local restaurant can be arranged.

Sunday

Again the day will start at 9am, with location work continuing with the tutor until 4pm.

A trip to the Great Blasket Island (weather permitting) can be arranged if agreed upon with the participants.
